Hanseatic city of Lübeck·HejU
Holiday apartment Lübeck
Eight apartments in the Hanseatic city, all in living neighbourhoods. No tourist ghettos, no edge-of-town locations.
Lübeck is a city that doesn't put its heritage on display, it lives in it. The old town sits on an island, the Trave flows around it, and the brick everything here is built from catches a colour in the late-afternoon light that no guidebook gets quite right.
We have eight apartments here. In the charming old building on Eschenburgstraße, in the design apartment on Gneisenaustraße, in the city flat on Nettelbeckstraße. One has a seventh-floor view of the Trave, another a bathroom with a tub you actually relax in. None is at the tourist hotspot. All are in districts where people leave for work in the morning and walk the dog in the evening.
What makes Lübeck special you don't notice in the first hour. It's the matter-of-factness with which the city lives its Hanseatic understatement. Nobody needs to tell you the Holstentor is world-famous. Nobody pushes marzipan on you. It's all just there, and you can take it or leave it.
Whoever stays with us has a quiet retreat with a kitchen, own bathroom and oak floors. Want to shop? The Saturday market by the Markt. Want art? The St. Annen museum. Just want to arrive? Leave your shoes at the door and make a coffee.

Tips·On site
What to do in Lübeck
A few anchor points for your stay, not exhaustive but personally curated.
Holstentor and the marzipan house
The landmark is a must, then head into Niederegger's flagship. The marzipan cake in the café upstairs is the more honest recommendation than the souvenir shop below.
St. Mary's Church and the courtyard around it
One of the largest brick churches in the world, with the bells melted in the war still set into the floor. The courtyard in front invites you to sit. The Buddenbrook House is around the corner.
A walk along the Trave to the swing bridge
Follow the Trave towards the harbour, past the old warehouses. The swing bridge still opens for ships as it always did. Catching it in action is a small moment.
Market by the Markt
Thursday and Saturday. Fresh fish, cheese, bread. You've got your own kitchen with us, so the trip is worth it.
Travemünde as a day trip
Twenty minutes to the beach by train. Lübeck main station, then RE or S-Bahn. At the water by midday, back by evening.
FAQ·Frequently asked
Frequently asked
- How many holiday apartments do you have in Lübeck?
- Eight at the moment. Six single apartments on Gneisenaustraße, Korvettenstraße, Nettelbeckstraße, Schillstraße, plus the Eschenburg multi-property house with two units (attic and first floor).
- Which districts are the apartments in?
- In St. Lorenz Nord (Gneisenaustraße, Schillstraße, Nettelbeckstraße), St. Jürgen (Korvettenstraße with a Trave view) and Marli (Eschenburgstraße). All well connected by bus, old town under 15 minutes away.
- Can I arrive by car?
- Yes. Several of our apartments have a parking spot, some a dedicated bay. We mark this per apartment when you book. The old town is easily walkable, you won't need a car during your stay.
- How long is the drive to the beach?
- Travemünde 20-25 minutes by train or car, Timmendorfer Strand 25-30 minutes by car. Both are comfortable day trips.
- Are pets allowed?
- Not at the moment. If that's a problem, write to us anyway. For certain apartments we can talk on a case-by-case basis.
