All together under one roof, everyone in their own apartment
When you book the whole Höppnerweg house, you have it entirely to yourselves for a few days. 26 beds across five apartments mean the wedding party, the team or the whole family doesn't need to spread out across several places in town. You meet for breakfast in the morning, kids run between the apartments, and in the evening every apartment still has its own kitchen and bathroom.
Most groups plan the celebration itself at a separate venue nearby. For the nights around your occasion, whether that's a wedding, a company retreat or a family gathering, we're the right fit.

The right base for every occasion
Six examples of how groups use the house. Each one needs something different from it, and finds it.
Wedding party
The witnesses in the penthouse, the parents on the ground floor, the rest of the party spread across the remaining apartments. You stay together before and after the celebration, and everyone still has their own space with a kitchen and bathroom. For the celebration itself, we recommend a separate venue nearby.
Company retreats and off-sites
Five apartments mean five quiet spaces to retreat to for focused work between shared sessions. Anyone who needs a break from the meeting room just goes up or down a floor. A kitchen in every apartment makes spontaneous coffee breaks easy too.
Family reunions and milestone anniversaries
Three generations under one roof, but not in one room. Grandparents sleep on the ground floor, grandchildren run around the garden, and in the evening everyone gathers for dinner.
Confirmations and christenings
For relatives travelling from further away, the house is a practical base for the weekend. You don't need to spread everyone across several hotels in town, everyone stays within walking distance and still has their own apartment.
Groups of friends
A few days together by the sea, with enough space for everyone to also have time alone. The apartments come in different sizes, which works well when some arrive as couples and others as families.

Amenities for groups
Every apartment has its own kitchen with a dishwasher, oven and the usual cookware, plus a washer and dryer. Bed linen and towels are provided. Wifi and TV are included everywhere, and a travel crib is available on request. Outside there's a garden and seating, inside dining tables for meals in smaller groups. On-site parking is available, paid.

Location: close to the beach in Timmendorfer Strand
The house is in Timmendorfer Strand, right by the Baltic Sea. The beach is a few minutes' walk away. Travemünde is about 10 kilometres away and makes for a good day trip, but the house itself is in Timmendorfer Strand, not in Travemünde. Lübeck is around 30 minutes by car, Hamburg about an hour.

06·Season
Autumn and winter: your best time for the whole house
Over the summer months the five apartments are usually booked individually, and Höppnerweg is busy. For the whole house at once, October to Easter is ideal: quieter, easier to plan, and the time of year we can most reliably offer you all five apartments together. A company retreat in November, a fresh start for the team in January, an Advent weekend with the whole family, or just the Baltic Sea in winter when the beach is nearly yours alone: that's the season the Höppnerweg house works best for groups.

Frequently asked questions
- Can we rent the whole house exclusively for our group, or are individual apartments rented out separately too?
- Both are possible. For large groups we rent out the whole house with all five apartments, for smaller groups individual apartments or whole floors too. How well a whole-house booking works depends on the time of year, more on that in the next question.
- Can we book the whole house in summer too?
- In summer the five apartments are usually booked individually, because demand for single stays is high in peak season. For the whole house at once during the summer months, it's worth asking early and with plenty of lead time. From October to Easter, on the other hand, the whole house is regularly available together, that's our strongest season for groups.
- How many people fit in the house overall, and how are the beds spread across the apartments?
- The house sleeps 26 in total across five apartments: 4 in the ground floor left, 6 in the ground floor middle, 6 in the first floor left, 4 in the first floor middle, and 6 in the penthouse. We'll help you spread your group across the apartments sensibly.
- Is the house suitable for a celebration with music or a larger event?
- No. Haus Höppnerweg is a place to stay for the nights around your occasion, not an event venue. For a celebration with music or a larger event with outside guests, we recommend planning that separately from your stay. With us you sleep together before and after celebrating elsewhere.
- What does it cost to rent the whole house?
- The price depends on your dates, group size, and whether you need the whole house or just part of it. Send us your details through the form, and we'll get back to you with a concrete offer.
- How far is it to walk to the beach?
- Just a few minutes on foot. The house is close to the beach in Timmendorfer Strand, and we are happy to give you the exact walking route when you enquire.
- How far is it to Travemünde or Lübeck?
- Travemünde is about 10 kilometres away, good for a day trip, but the house itself is in Timmendorfer Strand. Lübeck is around 30 minutes by car.
- Is there enough parking for all our guests on site?
- Yes, paid parking is available at the house. Let us know how many cars you're bringing when you send your request, and we'll factor that in.
- Can we cater for ourselves in the apartments, is there a kitchen everywhere?
- Yes, each of the five apartments has its own kitchen with a dishwasher, oven and the usual cooking equipment. You can cater for yourselves in every apartment, or cook together.
